The Calvary Methodist Church has a number of Church Organisations. They are:
Of these Organisations, the Men’s Fellowship deserves special mention.
Inextricably linked with the history of the Calvary Methodist Church is the establishment of the Association of Men’s Fellowship, Ghana.
- The urgent need for men in the Methodist Church as prescribed in the Bible to organise themselves and lead the way to salvation, was discussed at length by the North Accra Circuit Quarterly Meeting in September 1975.
- Bro A. E. Enchia, then a Class Leader, had earlier presented proposals for the formation of a Men’s Fellowship in the Calvary Methodist Church to the Leaders’ Meeting. With the approval of the Leaders’ Meeting the men of
Calvary led by Bros Enchia, D. T. Ackah and Harry Reynolds drafted a Constitution which led to the birth of the Men’s Fellowship. Its first meeting was in January 16th 1976 and the fellowship was formally launched by the Most Rev. T. W. Koomson on Sunday August 1st 1976. It had 53 members. The Calvary Methodist Men’s Fellowship was the first such Church Organisation in the Methodist Church,Ghana. Today the Fellowship has branches nationwide with men declaring ‘For Christ -We Live’.
These are all Methodist Church Organisations, but our Church boasts of other Special Organisations. These are the Awerekyere Kuw and the Fellowship of Young Christian Married Couples. The former group is a special regular
hospital-visiting group, which was established by some members of the Church in 1975. The Group visits all the major Hospitals in Accra and prays for the patients. It also donates gifts to inmates especially those whose
relatives live outside Accra. They also visit the Aged and Children every Easter and at Christmas.
The Fellowship of Young Christian Married Couples is a new group, which is aimed at meeting the spiritual and physical needs of Christian Married Couples. Even though it is yet to be formally inaugurated it is
already serving its purpose.
Calvary Methodist Guest House
This 2-Star hospitality facility began humbly in the late ‘90s. It serves as a Home -away- from- Home for guests from far and near. It boasts of seven rooms and excellent facilities. It is housed in the Gaddiel R. Acquaah
Memorial Complex Building. Efforts are underway to move it to a 3-Star grade in the near future. Enquiries for accommodation may be made at the Society Stewards’ Vestry, the Superintendent Minister’s Office or the Warden’s

Calvary Methodist Vocational Institute
The Institute started as a project of the North-Accra Circuit Women’s Fellowship in 1974.The School now has 200 plus students. Its dynamic Principal, Mrs Christiana Odoi and her Staff are working
hard to ensure that the ladies and gentlemen of the Institute build their homes in the Lord.
The Institute offers courses in Catering and Dressmaking for both NVTI and City and Guilds Basic & Advanced. The Church will soon introduce Technical courses to enable those so inclined to benefit.

Calvary Methodist Primary and Junior Secondary Schools. These Schools are situated at the Castle Road, Adabraka. Originally known as the Castle Road Schools, the Church
assumed responsibility for them as part of its social and community responsibility services. They are made up of 2 main streams, The Church along with management has plans to renovate the School and improve the basic structures.
Calvary Street Vendors Fellowship In a bid to assist the host of street vendors who ply their trade between the Church and the Holy Spirit Cathedral Traffic
lights, a fellowship was established some time last year (2001). The primary focus has been to evangelise these people. After a fellowship the vendors are giving refreshment. Two of them have been sponsored as Apprentices by
well-meaning members of the Church to learn a trade. There are plans to get others to benefit too.
Calvary Medical Service
The Church has established a consulting medical clinic which offers free medical consultation and some services to members of the Church and the
general public, especially the Street Vendors in the area. The clinic is manned by qualified medical Doctors and Nurses who are members of the Church.
Calvary Youth Service
Another novelty of the Church is its Youth Service. Established about a decade ago, the service is basically a youth enterprise. Many of the Youth Service’s activities are under the leadership young people who are trained by few
elderly Christians.
The Service begins with a Bible Class session from 9.30 am to 10.15 am and Church Service begins at 10.30 am. Service includes song ministration by the resident Singing group, the Calvary Jewels, Altar calls and
Healing Ministration. It is an experience worth having, if you are a young person.
The service is conducted at the Men’s Fellowship Hall located in the Gaddiel Acquaah Memorial Complex. You are Welcome.
